All of our birds are outdoor raised here in California's Central Valley for hardiness.  Aviary birds are raised without fosters and may be closed banded at 10 days of age.  All chickens receive Marek's Disease vaccine at hatch.  Each purchase includes a Bird Care Guide.  Pedigrees available upon request.  More about us...

Large (6.5 lb.) rare French breed of laying chicken.  They are known for one thing -- producing lovely dark chocolate-brown eggs.

  We put our show quality "Heaven Sent" Black Copper rooster over our show quality "Sweetwater" Cuckoo Marans hen (pictured above).  Produces nice large barred cockerels and solid black pullets.  The eggs from this cross won't be as dark as our top quality Marans, but they can be sexed at hatch.
